Udyam Registration Drive

The Udyam Registration Drive is a dedicated initiative aimed at formalising Assam’s vast unorganised MSME base by bringing micro and small enterprises into the national digital registry. Many units across manufacturing, service, and trade sectors operate informally, limiting their access to finance, markets, technology, and government support schemes. This intervention focuses on large-scale awareness, last-mile facilitation, and district-level outreach to ensure that entrepreneurs especially those in rural and remote areas—gain easy access to Udyam registration services. By formalising 1.5 lakh enterprises, the drive will strengthen Assam’s economic landscape through improved data visibility, easier policy planning, and greater inclusion of women-led, SHG-based, and artisan-driven units in the formal economy. Registered MSMEs will also benefit from credit linkages, subsidies, marketing platforms, and skill development opportunities, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and long-term growth prospects.
