₹5,000 financial assistance per farmer to purchase farm tools/implements.

The Mukhya Mantri Krishi Sa-Sajuli Yojana is a flagship agricultural support initiative by the Government of Assam aimed at modernizing agriculture at the grassroots level.

Since more than 70% of Assam’s population depends on farming, the scheme focuses on improving productivity by encouraging the use of scientific farm tools.

Under this initiative, ₹5,000 financial assistance is provided to farmers for purchasing essential farm implements.

A total of 5 lakh farmers across the state are targeted under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility

How to Apply?

1

The Agriculture Department will publish advertisements through print and electronic media, inviting applications through the respective website.

Applications will be collected by the Assistant Extension Officers (AEAs) along with bank account details and mobile numbers of the beneficiaries, wherever available.

Beneficiaries will be selected GPNDP-wise.

A Gaon Panchayat-wise list of beneficiaries will be compiled by the concerned Agriculture Development Officers (ADOs) after scrutiny.

The scrutinized list will be placed before the District Level Committee (DLC) for consideration.

The list of farmers received from AEAs/ADOs will be approved by the DLC.

SC/ST farmers will be selected as per the State Reservation Act, i.e., SC – 7% ST (P) – 10% ST (H) – 5%

After approval, the final beneficiary list will be forwarded to the Director of Agriculture along with bank account details and mobile number information.
