This component focuses on creating awareness about the Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Scheme and supporting MSMEs in obtaining ZED Bronze Certification through structured awareness and facilitation programmes. The workshops are designed to familiarise enterprises with the principles of quality management, process optimisation, and sustainable manufacturing practices that form the foundation of the ZED framework. By improving awareness of the certification process, the component seeks to encourage wider adoption of recognised quality standards among MSMEs. The workshops will provide guidance on quality improvement, process efficiency, and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices while sensitising enterprises to the benefits of adopting standardised production systems. Through structured orientation and practical support, MSMEs will gain a better understanding of the certification requirements and the measures necessary to achieve ZED Bronze Certification. The component also promotes the development of a quality-driven culture within enterprises by encouraging continuous improvement, enhanced product reliability, and responsible manufacturing practices. Adoption of the ZED framework is expected to strengthen customer confidence, improve market acceptance, and enhance the overall competitiveness of MSMEs in both domestic and global markets.
