This component is designed to create widespread awareness about the LEAN Scheme and facilitate greater participation of MSMEs in obtaining Basic Level LEAN Certification. Through structured workshops and handholding support, enterprises will be introduced to the principles, tools, and methodologies of LEAN manufacturing, enabling them to understand how systematic process improvements can enhance operational efficiency and productivity. The intervention seeks to encourage MSMEs to adopt globally accepted management practices that contribute to sustained business improvement. The workshops will orient enterprises on core LEAN concepts such as waste reduction, efficient resource utilisation, process optimisation, and workflow improvement. Practical guidance and real-world examples will help MSMEs understand how these principles can be integrated into their day-to-day operations. By simplifying the certification process and providing structured guidance, the intervention aims to support enterprises in achieving Basic Level LEAN Certification while strengthening their internal management systems. Beyond certification, the component promotes a culture of continuous improvement within enterprises. Adoption of LEAN practices is expected to enhance operational discipline, improve quality standards, optimise resource utilisation, and strengthen the long-term competitiveness of MSMEs operating across different sectors.
