Upgrading IT Infra in DoI, DICCs, CIC and Block Offices

This component aims to modernise the information technology infrastructure across the department of IC&PE, Commissionerate of Industries and Commerce, ASIDC and District Industries and Commerce Centres (DICCs) in Assam. Strengthening digital infrastructure at these institutions is essential for improving administrative efficiency, enhancing service delivery, and creating an integrated digital ecosystem to support MSME development. The initiative focuses on upgrading both hardware and software systems to enable more effective management of information and communication with stakeholders. Strengthened digital infrastructure will also improve the management of records and support more efficient delivery of services to MSMEs. The upgraded IT ecosystem is intended to provide a robust digital foundation for institutional functioning while supporting efficient data management and programme implementation. By modernising digital infrastructure across multiple administrative levels, the component contributes to improved governance, better coordination among institutions, and enhanced support for MSMEs throughout the State.

Objectives

The primary objective of this component is to strengthen information technology infrastructure across the Department and its field offices to support efficient data management, online service delivery, and effective monitoring of schemes and projects. Modern digital infrastructure will improve institutional capacity and enable departments to respond more efficiently to the evolving requirements of MSME governance.
Enhanced connectivity and improved IT infrastructure will facilitate timely access to reliable information, support digital record management, and enable the use of analytical dashboards for planning, monitoring, and decision-making.
By creating a modern and integrated digital environment across departmental offices, the component supports efficient administration, improved coordination, and more effective implementation of MSME programmes and services. These improvements will contribute to a stronger institutional framework for promoting enterprise development in Assam.

Target Beneficiaries:

Department of Industry Commerce & Public Enterprises, Commissionerate of Industries and Commerce, Assam Small Industries Development Corporation and District Industries and Commerce Centre.

Expected Outcomes:

The component is expected to establish a modern and integrated IT infrastructure across departmental offices, enabling efficient data management, seamless online service delivery, and improved monitoring of schemes and projects. Enhanced digital capabilities will support evidence-based decision-making, strengthen institutional coordination, and improve the quality and efficiency of services provided to MSMEs across the State.
