Vendor development program

The Vendor Development Program is a cornerstone of the "Make in Assam" initiative, dedicated to the growth and empowerment of MSMEs. This intervention targets the development and support of 500 MSMEs, with a particular focus on women-owned enterprises, accounting for 10% of the beneficiary pool. The overarching objective of this program is to foster collaboration and partnerships between anchor units and vendor units, catalysing local economic development and promoting self-reliance. One of the key components of this program is the organization of focused product-based buyer-seller meetings. These meetings serve as crucial platforms for sensitizing MSMEs about the products and services required by anchor units. Through these interactions, participants gain insights into various aspects, including the method of procurement (e.g., Government e-Marketplace or e-tender processes) and adherence to buyer-specific workplace hygiene conditions.
