Capacity Building Workshops and Awareness Programmes on All Access to Finance Related Schemes

This component focuses on improving financial awareness among MSMEs by organising structured capacity-building workshops and awareness programmes on the various finance-related schemes and support mechanisms available to enterprises. Access to timely and adequate finance plays a critical role in the growth and sustainability of MSMEs, and this initiative seeks to bridge information gaps by familiarising entrepreneurs with the financial assistance available through government and institutional mechanisms. The workshops will provide participants with comprehensive information on funding opportunities, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the benefits of availing different financial schemes. By enhancing financial literacy, the programmes will enable entrepreneurs to better understand available financing options and make informed decisions regarding investment, credit, subsidies, and other financial support required for enterprise development. Improved awareness of financial assistance programmes is expected to facilitate easier access to institutional finance and strengthen the financial preparedness of MSMEs. By equipping entrepreneurs with practical knowledge of available schemes and support systems, the component contributes to the growth, sustainability, and competitiveness of enterprises across the State.

Objectives

The primary objective of this component is to improve awareness of finance-related schemes available through government and financial institutions. By providing structured information on funding opportunities and financial support mechanisms, the component seeks to enable enterprises to make informed decisions regarding business financing and investment.
The component also aims to strengthen the ability of entrepreneurs to understand eligibility requirements, application procedures, and the processes involved in accessing institutional finance. Increased financial awareness will help MSMEs navigate the available financial ecosystem more effectively while improving their preparedness to access credit and other forms of financial assistance.
By improving knowledge of finance-related schemes and strengthening financial decision-making capabilities, the component supports enterprise growth, business sustainability, and improved access to funding opportunities that contribute to the long-term development of MSMEs in Assam.

Existing and New MSMEs, SHGs, Women Entrepreneurs etc.

Expected Outcomes:

The component is expected to improve awareness related to financial schemes among MSMEs and institutional support mechanisms. Participating enterprises are expected to gain a better understanding of funding opportunities, eligibility requirements, and application procedures, enabling them to access appropriate financial assistance more effectively.
