Assam Chah Bagichar Dhan Puraskar Scheme (ACBDPS)

To promote financial inclusion of tea garden workers, the State Government, during the financial year 2017–18, provided an incentive of ₹2,500 to tea garden workers whose bank accounts were opened after demonetization, i.e., between 9th May 2016 and 31st May 2018.

ACBDPS is a direct benefit transfer scheme launched to promote financial inclusion among tea garden workers of Assam.

In Phase I, eligible tea garden workers who opened bank accounts after demonetization received ₹2,500 as an incentive.

In Phase II, the Government credits an additional ₹2,500 to the same beneficiaries.

Workers who missed the first installment or had ineligible accounts earlier will receive ₹5,000 (₹2,500 + ₹2,500).

The entire scheme operates through District Commissioners, banks, and garden-level committees to ensure smooth fund transfer and awareness about digital banking.
