Products include pineapple jam, juice, concentrate, puree, canned slices, crushed pineapple and syrup-based products. Processing helps utilise seasonal surpluses, reduce post-harvest losses, and create year-round value-added offerings. Adoption of cold chain infrastructure, aseptic packaging, and hygienic processing standards enables MSMEs to supply to retail markets, bakeries, beverage manufacturers, hotels, airlines and institutional buyers. With proper quality control and food safety certification, Assam’s pineapple-based products can also target export markets in South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
