This component focuses on building the capacity of MSMEs to adopt environmentally responsible and sustainable business practices through structured awareness and capacity-building workshops. As sustainability becomes increasingly important for industrial competitiveness and long-term business growth, the workshops are designed to familiarise enterprises with key concepts such as decarbonisation, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, carbon pricing, and energy audits. These knowledge-sharing initiatives will help MSMEs understand the significance of environmental sustainability and its role in improving business performance. The workshops will provide practical guidance on measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions, enabling enterprises to better understand their environmental impact and identify opportunities for reducing carbon emissions. Participants will also be introduced to sustainable business practices and energy management approaches that support efficient resource utilisation while promoting environmentally responsible operations. Through these sessions, MSMEs will gain a better understanding of emerging environmental requirements and the importance of integrating sustainability into their business processes. By promoting awareness and knowledge of low-carbon business practices, the component seeks to encourage enterprises to adopt environmentally responsible operational strategies.
